Yesterday, 576 organizations sent a letter to Congress, urging them to reject 45's proposals to cut federal higher education funding. These cuts would impact things like Pell grants, TRIO, and work study, all things that make higher education more accessible to low income students. Federal Work Study alone, for example, applies to over 675k students.
Nearly all new jobs created in our modern economy require some form of post-secondary education.
Call your Congresspeople now and share your stories on how you or your loved ones utilized federal grants for high education.
